Background
Dr. Woodruff is a fellowship-trained urologist whose areas of clinical specialty include urologic cancers and minimally invasive urologic oncology. As an accomplished urologic surgeon, Dr. Woodruff also specializes in laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques, nerve-sparing robotic prostatectomy, robotic partial nephrectomy, laparoscopic nephrectomy and nephroureterectomy, robotic cystectomy, laparoscopic retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, robotic pyeloplasty, robotic sacrocolpopexy, robotic ureteral reconstruction, and robotic subtotal prostatectomy. He was also recognized as a Urolift Center of Excellence, providing the minimally invasive UroLift System as an effective treatment for BPH/enlarged prostate.
Dr. Woodruff completed his fellowship in Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology from Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He also previously served as the Director of Robotic Surgery at Northwest Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas before moving to Arizona. He joined Arizona Urology Specialists in 2009.
Dr. Woodruff grew up in Arkansas. He is a dedicated husband and father of four children. He enjoys spending time with his family as well as many outdoor activities such as golf and fishing, and he is an avid runner.
