Advanced Cancer Therapeutics (ACT)
Advanced Cancer Therapeutics (ACT) is a term used to describe treatment for cancers that are advanced beyond their organ of origin or for high-risk cancers. Whether it is a primary or secondary urologic cancer, the Arizona Urology Specialists ACT team strives to enhance longevity and quality of life. We have access to state of the art treatments and referrals to investigative trials as needed.
As the program director, Christopher S. Stewart, M.D., F.A.C.S. provides a personalized approach with each patient stressing the importance of HOPE. “For every person referred to Advanced Cancer Therapeutics for treatment,” he said, “know that we will walk side by side with you through this time in your life.” We have a dedicated team of physicians and advanced practice providers who have extensive training and experience in managing prostate, bladder, and renal cancer. In fact, our center evaluates more patients in one day than a typical medical oncologist sees in a month.
He also encourages participants to bring to appointments friends, family, neighbors, and anyone who is part of their support system. The team will help you navigate through the healthcare system so you can receive the best care possible.
